Grammar
LO: I am learning to spell past and present tense words.
If a verb ends in an e, for example love, before you add -ed or -ing, you have to drop the e first and then add the suffix.
If you didn't drop the e, the past and present tense word would look like this:
love --------> loveed
love --------> loveing
To make it correct, drop the e before you add -ed
love ---------> loved
love ---------> loving
For today's grammar activity, I would like you to make your own version of the fold and learn spelling mats to help learn how to spell the following verbs in the past tense by dropping the e and adding the -ed suffix and in the present tense by dropping the e and adding the -ing suffix.
come, dance, shine, rise, like, bike, smile, drive
