Week beginning 06.07.20

This week in English we would like you to have a go at writing a voice over for a nature clip. You will be given a choice of which clip to use, but the voice over will need to be timed to be the length of the clip. Have a look at this clip about Polar Bears narrated by David Attenborough as an example:

Polar Bear Cubs Take Their First Tentative Steps | Planet Earth | BBC Earth

In order to write your script you will need to choose one of the clips below to write about, watch it (WITH THE SOUND OFF) and think about what you could say over the top. You may want to research the animal you are writing about and gather information about them to include in the clip. Then present it to someone in your house.

Choose from one of the clips below:

Baby Elephant takes her First Bath | BBC Earth

Leopards learn how to Catch Catfish | BBC Earth

.

Fur Seals and Whales Feast on Krill | Blue Planet | BBC Earth

Incredible Teamwork From Little Clownfish | Blue Planet II

If you don't like any of these then you can search for your own clip to use - but be careful, some of the Plant Earth clips show hunting scenes and these can get a bit gruesome!
Check our Alfie B's English work from this week!

Extension challenge:

If you have a pet at home, try making a video of them like the ones here. Maybe you could talk about how your cat grooms, how your dog drinks water or what your fish eat!
