  • Easter in the Orthodox Church.

Wed 23 Mar 2016 Mrs Venners

As part of our Easter celebrations this year, we spent an afternoon learning about Christian Orthodox Easter.  In KS1 and KS2, the children learnt how symbols of Orthodox Easter such as Pascha baskets and pysanky eggs, express the joy of recreation and new life.  The children had an opportunity to look at what a Pascha basket would contain.  They also designed and painted their own pysanky eggs.  A Russian Orthodox priest also came in to school to talk to the children about how Easter is celebrated in his church.

Thu 17 Mar 2016 Miss Hyam

  • World Book Day

Fri 04 Mar 2016 Mr Seager
On Friday 4th March we had a fantastic day celebrating our love of reading! The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters- even the local newspaper came to take pictures of us! The year 6 class also performed a special assembly, demonstrating why reading is so important!
