Maths

I am learning to find the difference between two numbers.

The difference between 3 and 10 is ________

To complete this:
Gather some small objects (pasta shells, dried beans, cubes, counters etc)

Use the objects to make each number in the problem.

Line up 3 objects and line up 10 objects.  Put these lines next to each other to compare them.

Count the difference. For example 10 has 7 more than 3 so the difference is 7.

Record this on paper like this

The difference between 3 and 10 is 7.

1. The difference between 6 and 9 is __________

2. The difference between 1 and 7 is __________

3. The difference between 5 and 12 is _________

4. The difference between 4 and 11 is __________

5. The difference between 8 and 13  is __________

English

I am learning to write sentences using adjectives.

Look at the below pictures of spring. Can you write a sentence to describe the picture using an adjective? Remember an adjective is a describing word.

E.g. The little lamb is laying on the grass.

Phonics

This week we have been learning phase 5 digraphs (2 letters that make 1 sound)

We have learnt

ay (play)

ou (cloud)

Watch the below videos.
Can you pause it and write the words containing the digraphs.
Can you think of anymore words that have that digraph? You could even write them in a sentence.

E.g. The boy played with the toy.
