Lions

Welcome to our Year 5/6 Lions class!

In our Lions class, Mrs. Palmer teaches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Mrs. Stewart teaches on Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday.

Miss Simmons supports children in the classroom throughout the week.

This term, we will be doing Dance on Monday afternoons.

Our outdoor PE lesson will be on Thursday afternoon and this term will be Tag Rugby.

Please remember that on our PE day, children should come in to school wearing their PE kit  (there is no need to wear or send school uniform as they will be wearing their PE kit for the whole day.)

Please remember: PE kit is a plain white T-shirt, hoodie, plain shorts/joggers and trainers. No football shirts.

For safety, please ensure earrings are removed and long hair is tied back on both of these days.

Thank you for your support with this.

Homework - Yr 5

Weekly homework will be sent home each Wednesday/ Thursday and this should be completed and handed in no later than the following Wednesday.

Homework - Yr 6

This term Yr 6 start their revision groups in maths, reading and grammar.  They will receive weekly homework in all three areas which will need to be completed for the following weeks session.

In addition, we are requesting for Year 5/6 classes to:

1. Read every day and regularly complete the Accelerated Reader tests after each book that they read. Children are able to take these tests at home, following this link: https://global-zone61.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/2248283

2. Practise their multiplication and division using Times Table Rockstars.

3. Practise the handwriting exercise that they bring home each week.

We would really appreciate your support and encouragement with this.

Please, if you have any questions or concerns, feel welcome to contact us, either through our Lions class Dojo messaging or:
