FlashAcademy® MFL platform (www.flashacademy.com).

FlashAcademy® is an app-based platform offering content aligned to the Foreign Language curriculum for French, German, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Swedish, Turkish and other languages.

The app is a tool which accelerates language acquisition. It is ideal for supporting language lessons in school and for revision purposes. Separating vocab into clear categories and topics, the lessons are concise and focus on a small number of key words. These are then reinforced in the games section of the app. Pupils can also compete against one another through our Live Leaderboard.

Students may be assigned homework which they complete via the app. So, we advise parents to encourage their children to log in regularly. Furthermore, parents may view their child’s progress via the dashboard. If you wish to do so, please request login details from the relevant member of staff.

As part of our ongoing effort to promote independent learning, students can access FlashAcademy from home. Students can access FlashAcademy through their smart phones, tablets or even a home laptop/pc by downloading the Windows App (www.flashacademy.com/windows). This allows them to consolidate the learning that has taken place in school, complete homework tasks, revise for any exams and improve spelling and pronunciation.

To log in to the platform, children need the following login information which you can receive from Mrs Hopper by sending an email to eal@ranelaghprimary.net or by asking their class teacher.

We encourage all students to access FlashAcademy as often as they can from home or even on their journey to and from school. Language learning doesn’t have to feel like hard work and with FlashAcademy, the aim is to have your young person actively engaged in developing their language skills!
