Spellings

Here are links to some spelling games. Ideally the children will try to learn one group of spellings per week - but if they want to challenge themselves to two then go ahead!

Instructions for the children:

1. Fold a piece of paper in half. Write out the spellings on one half and then fold over.

2. Play the games and practice the spellings. You need to click on the box that says 'spelling tiles' and this will take you to some games. You will need the volume turned up to play the games.

3. Get someone to read out the spellings as you write down the word - no cheating! Any words you do now spell correctly you can practice by writing them into a sentence e.g. if you misspelled the word 'junction' you could write it in the sentence 'The red car waited patiently at the junction.'
