Week Three - 12.5

Hey Jaguars and welcome to 'Topic Tuesday'.

Today's topic is a geography topic - mapping

I absolutely love maps and map reading,

so here is a task for you:

Can you create a map of your local area so that I wouldn't get lost if I came to visit you?

Firstly spend some time having a nosey around the neighbourhood on Google Maps.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.056013,1.1314786,3a,75y,124.74h,86t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s-vwPNYANUJkfXQNU0mFG4A!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Start off at our school and go for a virtual walk around the local area.

(Click on the tools on the bottom right of the Google map to help you change from map to satellite view and drag the little man onto the map to explore the area)

Then having a go at mapping the area in which you live.  Include points of interest, street names and landmarks. Try to be as detailed as you can.

Here are a few examples below, but you may choose to map your area anyway that you like.
