This half term we will be exploring the text 'Street Child' by Berlie Doherty. Across the curriculum, our learning will link to the story, which will be revealed slowly. Therefore, we ask that you do not tell your child this half term's text or rush out and buy the book. This is to ensure that learning at Ranelagh continues to be new and exciting and captivates children's interests.

PE for this half term will be Badminton and Football. Badminton is on Monday afternoon.

Football will be on a Friday afternoon.  Please ensure your child has appropriate outdoor PE kit with them on a Friday - Sweatshirts, Joggers and trainers please!

This term we will continue our revision groups in preparation for the SATs tests in May.  Revision homework will be handed out on a Tuesday and is expected to be returned, completed, on the Friday.  Please make sure that your child completes their homework independently and then asks for help if they do not understand something.

We will run homework club on a Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime for any pupil struggling to complete their homework at home.

In addition to revision homework, there is an expectation that your child will be reading daily.  Please can they bring in their reading log every day in order for us to acknowledge their reading.  If possible, pupils will have access at home to Times Tables Rock Stars. Where this is not possible there will be opportunity for them to access TTR at school.  Please encourage your child to beat their scores and become a 'Rock Legend'.

It makes a huge difference to the pupils having your support, and so, a big thank you all for your support with this.
